PuriCare™ Procedure Stations
The PuriCare Procedure Station is a specialized vertical laminar flow safety cabinet that provides a particulate-free environment for conducting small animal research activities including cage changing, weighing, anesthesia delivery and surgical procedures.
The PuriCare Procedure Station provides personnel, animal and environmental protection. HEPA-filtered vertical laminar airflow provides ISO Class 5 (formerly Class 100) conditions that protect the animals from cross-contamination. After passing through the exhaust HEPA filter and carbon filter, the balance of the air inside the enclosure is discharged to the room, protecting the environment from allergens and gaseous contaminants such as odors.
A spacious interior is one of the many ergonomic features of the Procedure Station. Others include a curved air foil for forearm support, a low profile front panel and ADA-compliant light switches and electrical duplexes.

- Tactile indication when sash is raised to optimum operating level of 12" high
- Sash pocket to contain potential contamination adhering to the interior side of the glass sash
- Reserve-Air™ Secondary Airflow Slots, located in front of the inflow grille, draw air into the enclosure should the user inadvertently block the grille area.
- Air-Wave™ Entry System consisting of curved air foil, side posts and sash handle for less resistance to inward airflow
- Contain-Air™ Negative Pressure Channel, located above and behind the sash, maximizes containment at the air gap between the top of the sash opening and the cabinet wall where aerosols inside the cabinet could possibly escape.
- ADA compliant Minihelic II pressure gauge located at eye level.
- ADA-compliant single switch fluorescent light and blower start up
- ADA-compliant sash position audible/visual alarm indicator and mute switch
- Two ADA-compliant electrical duplex receptacles with ground fault interrupter and splash covers
